Royal Rumble (1998) was the eleventh annual Royal Rumble. It was presented by MCI's 1-800-COLLECT, and took place on January 18, 1998 at the San Jose Arena in San Jose, California. The main event was a casket match between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker for the WWF Championship. The main matches on the undercard were the Royal Rumble match, The Legion Of Doom (Hawk and Animal) versus The New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg and Billy Gunn) for the WWF Tag Team Championship, and The Rock versus Ken Shamrock for the WWF Intercontinental Championship.
Survivor Series (1998) was the twelfth annual Survivor Series. It was presented by Nestlé Crunch and took place on November 15, 1998 at the Kiel Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Fourteen matches were scheduled on the event's card, a noticeably higher number than most pay-per-view events because the main focus of the card was a tournament for the vacant WWF Championship titled Deadly Game. It was the first tournament held with the WWF Championship on the line in ten years, the last being at WrestleMania IV. Aside from the tournament, two other championship matches occurred: the first defense of the WWF Women's Championship since it had been reactivated and a triple threat tag team match for the WWF Tag Team Championship. This event was also the first Survivor Series not to feature the traditional Survivor Series elimination-style tag team match.
Road Wild 1998 took place on August 8, 1998 from the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota. The main event was Hollywood Hogan & Eric Bischoff verus Diamond Dallas Page & Jay Leno. Goldberg was forced to defend the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in a World Title Battle Royal against nWo Hollywood (The Giant, Scott Hall, Curt Hennig and Scott Norton) and nWo Wolfpac (Konnan, Lex Luger, Kevin Nash and Sting). Other matches included Chris Jericho defending the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Juventud Guerrera, Steve McMichael vs Brian Adams, Chavo Guerrero, Jr. vs Stevie Ray, Rey Mysterio, Jr. vs Psychosis, Raven vs Saturn vs Kanyon in a Triangle Raven's Rules match, Public Enemy vs The Dancing Fools (Disco Inferno & Alex Wright), and Meng fought The Barbarian. Travis Triit performed a short concert after the show.

Fall Brawl 1998: War Games took place on September 13, 1998 from the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The main event was a WarGames match, in which Team nWo Hollywood (Hollywood Hogan, Bret Hart & Stevie Ray), Team nWo Wolfpac (Kevin Nash, Sting & Lex Luger), and Team WCW (Diamond Dallas page, Roddy Piper & The Warrior) all competed for a shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Halloween Havoc. Under card matches that night included Scott Hall vs Konnan, Dean Malenko vs Curt Hennig, Raven vs Saturn (again...) in (another) Raven's Rules match, Juventud Guerrera defending the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Silver King, Rick Steiner vs Scott Steiner (a match held over from Road Wild), Norman Smiley vs Ernest Miller, Chris Jericho defending the WCW World Television Championship against a Goldberg impersonator, and The Dancing Fools against The British Bulldog & Jim Neidhart.

In the Romanian town of Craiova, five hundred elderly people are passing their days in a home, for which they pay with their paltry pensions. Every day looks the same, every activity is predictable. Even the people‘s complaints are part of the daily routine. One of the residents hopes in vain that a lottery ticket will bring him refuge. For six days, filmmakers Andreea Paduraru and Cristi Puiu try to get through to these people, who are carrying their whole past on their backs. To the question what the best days of their lives was, nobody can or wants to give an answer. Nearly everyone immediately starts about the day-to-day worries and problems in the home. Finally, one woman tells about her activities as head of the research department of the government of Ceausescu, with whom she once had an argument. Another resident recalls his time as a soldier in World War II and proceeds to the order of the day.

The most recent name and format was adopted in 2009, but since 2011, the UK representation has been selected internally, resulting in Your Country Needs You being suspended.
